When goalkeeper Carl Woszczynski left the field Saturday night after Phoenix Rising’s 2-2 draw vs. Colorado Springs, he had no idea he was even close to setting a record.
“I had no idea I was anywhere close to it, so it was cool to see,” Woszczynski said.
In addition to being the longest tenured player on Phoenix Rising, in 2015 Woszczynski broke the record for most saves in a single season with 130.
“It’s been a long road, a lot of ups and downs,” Woszczynski said. “I’ve loved being a part of it, I’m honored to be a part of it.”
