PHOENIX – Circus School of Arizona will take you to new heights, literally.
“Juggling, plate spinning, tick-tock sticks. We also have aerial skills like aerial silks and trapeze,” said Brian Foley, and instructor at Circus School of Arizona, listing the skills summer campers are learning.
“The circus has so much to offer as far as variety because you have your aerial skills, your balancing skills. [And] you have your ground skills,” said Rachel Stegman, owner and founder of Circus School of Arizona.
Hand-eye coordination is key for juggling, plate spinning, and the tick-tock sticks, and better hand-eye coordination skills have actually been linked to high math scores.
These campers are combining skills from different types of summer camps through a circus of activities
“Strength and flexibility you would get in dance. You’re getting the confidence that you would get in theatre. We put it all together so the kids become brave, they become strong and they become confident,” said Foley.
Spots are still available for summer camp sessions at Circus School of Arizona.
