PHOENIX — Phoenix Rising is truly nothing to mess with. After Saturday’s win they earned themselves their 17th consecutive win, extending the American professional soccer record, over Switchbacks FC 3-0.

If that doesn’t impress you how about they fact that they secured a spot in the playoffs with nine more games to play. (Another record) This season has already been tremendous and Phoenix Rising keeps showing up to amaze us all.

In a state where Arizona sports aren’t always good, Phoenix rising is a breath of fresh air for Arizona sports fans.

Now, for those broken records…

After Saturday’s game the captain Solomon Asante set a new club record for most goals in a season (20), and a league record for most combined goals and assists in a season (33).

Solomon Asante, Adam Jahn, and Junior Flemmings also broke the USL record for most goals scored by a teammate trio (46) in a season. And there are still eight more regular season games.

Phoenix Rising return home this Saturday, September 7th, to take on San Antonio FC. You can watch the game live on Your Phoenix CW at 7:30 p.m. channels 6 & 61.1 over the air.
