PHOENIX – This start-up service has different packages available for purchase to help you pick a name for your newborn baby.
Making decisions can be hard. Especially ones that will affect what your child is called the rest of their life (or until they change it, but we are trying to avoid that).
This new service is called “Future Perfect“ and specializes in choosing unique names for your new bundle of joy. It is run by two moms in Illinois, Cara Sullivan and Macaire Douglas.
Yeah, we’re obsessed—not only with how they sound, but also with what they mean, how they look, the way they fit in with the rest of the family…you see where we’re going with this. To that end, our lists aren’t like the others you’ll find online. We’re over here adding Warner and Walker to the girls’ side; constantly evolving our boys’ file (Wish Leo wasn’t quite so popular? Enter lesser-used Lion); and brainstorming new classics that blur gender lines—we’re really digging Oak and Orion right now. Ultimately, our goal is to help you find The One, whatever that may be. And that’s exactly what we’ll do, without any of that friend/parent/in-law noise. This one is all about you—you and your future perfect.
They have five packages available each with a different service:
The Riff– for $100 you will fill out a questionnaire and then receive a 15-minute brainstorming session via a phone call where they will give you unbiased feedback to help make a decision.
The Standard– for $250 you get all that is provided in the first package as well as a custom list with 10 possible first names and a specialized gift for the baby featuring the chosen name.
The Works– for $350 you receive the questionnaire, phone call, a list of 10 first and 10 middle names, a follow-up call, and the specialized gift.
The Multiple– This is the same idea as the other packages, but for more than one baby! Different deals are offered within this package.
The Animal– This is the same as The Standard, but for your pet! For $75 they will do a phone call session and a list of 10 possible names.
Not only do they give to you, but they also give back to the community! A portion of all their profits goes to Save Abandoned Babies, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing the illegal abandonment of newborns to unsafe places.
Never worry about trying to find a name again! Would you use it?
