Subway and Halo Top team up to make protein milkshake

Random pair up but we're here for it

PHOENIX – Subway and Halo Top have teamed up to bring their fans a sweet treat this summer and their milkshake will bring all the boys to the yard.

According to a press release, the two companies will test out hand-spun Halo Top milkshakes at almost 10,000 Subway locations.

“We are passionate about creating delicious new menu items for our guest that can’t be found anywhere else. We share Halo Top’s values that taste does not need to be sacrificed to create better-for-you options,” Len Van Popering, chief brand and innovation officer at Subway, said in a press release.

The special will run through July 22nd to September 4th in six test market locations:

  • Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Hartford, Connecticut
  • Longview and Tyler, Texas
  • Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Toledo, Ohio
  • West Palm Beach, Florida

The creamy milkshake flavors will be vanilla bean, chocolate and strawberry. The milkshakes will also be 350 calories or less and stacked with protein AND each shake will have at least 20 grams of protein and 30% of the recommended daily value of calcium.

“We are proud to kick-off this partnership with Subway and bring these hand-spun milkshakes to life for everyone to enjoy. We enjoy finding creative and innovative ways for people to eat more ice cream (and feel good about it), and we think this partnership provides the perfect platform to do just that,” said Doug Bouton, president and chief operating officer at Halo Top.

To (Halo) top it all off, the companies are actively responding to anxious fans to get them ready for the release.
