PHOENIX – Not only is it important to exercise often to maintain a healthy weight, the time of day that you choose to exercise can also be essential to weight loss.
In a study conducted by researchers from the Brown Alpert Medical School, 375 adults were asked to report how often they exercised during the week as well as the time of day.
Consistency is key!
The study found that most people (47.8%) hit the gym in the morning rather than the evening or night and those who followed a schedule and worked out consistently had the highest levels of physical activity (68%). Meaning, it made no real difference what time they chose to get active as long as they kept it up.
There is still time to achieve that summer body! Find a time that works for you and stick to it. But if you live in Arizona, you might want to seek out an indoor gym.
