PHOENIX – If you’re a Disney lover or know someone who is, you may be improving your health without even knowing it.

According to Just Disney, psychiatrists are actually recommending trips to either Disneyland or Disney World as a treatment plan for patients. Even being friends with those who love Disney can be helpful and uplifting.

The treatment stems from studies showing that positivity and enriching experiences can change a patient’s overall outlook. One destination that is known to have both of those conditions is the Happiest Place on Earth.

Whether it be in Florida or in Anaheim, both parks are full of cheerful energy that can really make an impact on a person.

Dr. Sanders of Psychiatry Today prescribes week-long vacations to Walt Disney parks as a way to improve a patient’s attitude and overall sense of well-being the article reports. However, one visit is not always enough.

I usually suggest my patients purchase an annual pass to make sure that they are able to continue on their path to managing their emotions.

This Disney treatment is becoming more and more popular among family-run practices in the United States.

Have you visited the parks recently?
