PHOENIX— Parents: get ready for your phone to be blown up with notifications straight from your baby’s bum. Pampers is coming out with a smart diaper that tracks your baby’s urination and sleep patterns.

Lumi by Pampers has found a way to pair an activity sensor with your baby’s bottom half to help parents become more aware by sending text-alerts when their baby’s diaper is wet.

“Lumi is “the world’s first all-in-one connected care system that’s revolutionizing baby monitoring by helping parents monitor and track their baby 24/7”

It’s important for moms and dads to keep track of their child’s bathroom habits, and the chore may get a whole lot easier when Pampers makes the diapers available in future months.

The activity sensor isn’t designed to alert when the baby makes bowel movements yet, but it won’t be long before the Internet-of-Things makes that possible too.
