Karl Lagerfeld’s Cat, Choupette, to Inherit Fortune?

Karl Lagerfeld and His Cat Choupette

After the passing of famed fashion icon, Karl Lagerfeld, news began to swarm around who would be left as an heir to his $200 million fortune.

In his 85 years of life, Lagerfeld never married or fathered children, but he loved his cat Choupette so much that he once joked he would marry her if he could.

Turns out, Choupette may be looking a large sum of money. Even Lagerfeld mentioned in a interview last year, that he planned to make his beloved cat, Choupette, one of the heirs to his estate.

Lagerfeld was asked to look over the red point Birman cat in 2011 when she was 3-months-old. The two developed such a bond that Lagerfeld later adopted her.
