PHOENIX – Walmart is looking to help lower the costs spent on pet commodities by launching three new pet-focused services.
The first is the launch of walmartPetRx.com. Here, owners can purchase prescriptions for dogs, cats, horses, and even livestock. The prescriptions offer over 300 brands and treat conditions like flea and tick, heartworm, allergy, and arthritis. Plus, they are delivered straight to your doggie door! Walmart promises low prices meaning you are saving time and money!
For in-store prescription fills, Walmart is restocking its four-thousand plus stores.
To accommodate for pet owners who are looking for organic and grain-free food options, Walmart is supplying 100 new health-conscious pet brands.
Walmart is also expanding its in-store veterinary clinics and plans to reach 100 clinics in the next 12 months. According to Walmart’s announcement, this should help customers save 40 to 60 percent on vaccines and minor illness packages and exams.
