The Be Kind People Project was awarded a $100,000 grant.
The people in the Be Kind People Project are so much more than their lit dance moves. The Be Kind crew goes to assemblies across the Valley, and even all across the nation to spread positivity with messages on health and kindness. Their motto is to “Be fit, be healthy, be kind.” Students at Phoenix’s Constitution Elementary in the Deer Valley Unified School District were in for a treat during their morning assembly. Not only were they treated to entertainment by the Be Kind crew, they also got to witness first-hand a major announcement given to the nonprofit. Earlier this year, Fiesta Bowl Charities announced that they are giving a record $2.5 million to 67 Arizona nonprofits during the 2017-18 season. Today, Fiesta Bowl gave the Be Kind People Project a $100,000 grant. Ashley Brannon, the Be Kind Director of Wellness Programs, says that the money will go to “students for assemblies all over the Valley. We’re also going to do some family engagement programs, professional development, a lot virtual programs,” she explained. Money well spent to shaping our future leaders.
