Courteney Cox, 54, who played Monica Geller in the ’90s sitcom Friends, returned to her NYC apartment…well sort of.
In an Instagram tribute, Cox captioned her post: “The One Where My Rent Went Up $12,000.”
Cox took her fans on a nostalgic trip with the post and poked fun at the realistic price it would cost to live like Monica Geller.
Although the West Village apartment is known as ”The Friends Apartment,” it was actually only used for exterior shots. Cox didn’t even know about the building until her now famous post.
“I was having dinner and someone said, ‘You know, the Friends building is just about two blocks over,'” Cox said on her Thursday visit to Busy Tonight. “And I’m so dumb, I was like, ‘The Friends building?! What does that even mean?'”
We can’t really blame Cox for being confused since the sitcom was filmed on a TV set in California.
Her Friends co-star and real-life friend, Jennifer Aniston, encouraged Cox to post the video that now has 1.5 million views and more than 25,000 comments.
