Tom Stanniland, who goes by the name “Killem” on YouTube, sent a McDonald’s Big Mac into space using a weather balloon. The 29-year old filmed the whole process and uploaded it to his channel.

Stanniland explained in the video that the cheeseburger was sent in a Styrofoam box with a GoPro camera and a tracker, but “lost connection with it when it got so high.”

So where did it land? A football (soccer) pitch in Essex, England.

The groundskeeper for Colchester United found the box and for obvious reasons, everyone was confused. However, their questions were all answered when the team’s Twitter shared the story.

Stanniland soon called and claimed the whole ordeal as his. He traveled from Sheffield, England to Essex, which is a three-hour journey, and explained everything.

It doesn’t end there. Stanniland even tried the Big Mac himself.

“That’s not nice,” he said after biting into the burger that he later described as dry, powdery and frozen.
