PHOENIX – You will soon be able to purchase Cannabidoid, or CBD, oil products at select Fry’s Food Stores in Arizona.
The decision to offer CBD products to customers was made by Kroger, one of the biggest U.S.-based grocery store chains in the country.
Kroger owns stores in 35 states, but will only be selling the products in 17, including Arizona.
CBD is a compound in marijuana, and it’s used as a natural remedy to relieve anxiety, pain, depression, cancer-related symptoms and more, according to Healthline.
The natural herb can be sold as lip balm, dog treats, toothpaste, candy and shampoo. It holds many similar benefits that marijuana has, but without the effect of making you high.
CBD has become so popular in such a short amount of time that it’s been discussed on CNBC, the Today Show and the Dr. Oz Show.
The CBD brands haven’t been specified yet, but we will expect to see the products on shelves later this year, says Arizona’s #1 marijuana industry website.
