Bestselling books on tape is actually the voice of serial killer, Ed Kemper

PHOENIX – Have you been watching Netflix’s Mindhunter? If you have, the name Ed Kemper might sound familiar to you. He is one of the prominent serial killers in the series who is interviewed by the FBI’s Behavioral Unit.

The series is based on real-life serial killers and Kemper is actually a real serial killer. He is known as the ‘co-ed killer” according to the Biography.com. Co-ed killer comes from who he killed – female hitchhikers he picked up who went to Fresno state. You can read all the details HERE.

Kemper is currently still serving time at California Medical Facility in Vacaville, California. To keep himself busy, he has actually been working – he has been the voice on books on tape for best selling books. Yes, he is that voice you hear if you pick up most audio books. Chilling right?

It’s part of a project called the Blind Project according to the Los Angeles Times. The story of how this came to happen is quite interesting but it’s all due to a blind couple from New York.
