It comes as no surprise that CD’s don’t have the same fan base they used to pre-iPods. Now with music streaming and MP3’s dominating music sales, it seems only logical that CD’s would become a thing of the past. But that doesn’t mean this pre-2000’s crowd isn’t crushed.
Best Buy is planning to pull the disks off their shelves. Drops in sales could be the problem, with CD sales down 18.5 percent in the last year.
Oddly enough, vinyl’s will still grace their shelves, since the vintage musical hardware has seen a comeback in recent years.
But don’t you worry just yet CD lovers. The pull isn’t set to happen until July so there is still time to get your hands on your favorites before they make their permanent exit from Best Buy.
