Be a turtle intern at a luxury Maldives hotel this summer

PHOENIX You can receive a free stay at a hotel in the Maldives just for taking care of some cute turtles.

Coco Collection announced their summer in-turtle-ship (see what they did there?) where one lucky person will be given the opportunity to look after their turtles at the Olive Ridley Project Marine Turtle Rescue Centre at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu.

Not only will you look after the sea creatures, but you will also get the experience of a lifetime while learning from Dr. Claire Petros, one of the UK’s leading turtle surgeons.

According to the application, intern tasks will include feeding and cleaning up after the turtles, observing surgeries, rescuing and releasing, interacting with guests, attending presentations, and posting the progress of the center on social media. Easy enough.

Still not sold?

The internship is unpaid, but the trip is free! If chosen, the intern will be flown to the Maldives where they will stay in a guest villa with full benefits, including food and drink. You will also be able to experience the beautiful resort with a snorkeling trip at Baa Atoll and a sunset cruise- free of charge! Ok, sign me up.

Here are some rules for applying.

You must be over the age of 18.

No prior experience is necessary, but you should be looking into the veterinary field as your future occupation.

Send in a 2-3 minute video on why you should be the recipient of this internship as well as a 500-word cover letter.

Applications are open from June 4-July 1.

The chosen applicant will start in August and the internship will last for two weeks. You can apply for the position here.

Good luck! You turtle-y got this!
