Baskin-Robbins introduces vegan options

PHOENIX – Vegans rejoice because you can now buy non-dairy options at America’s chain ice cream shop for the first time starting August 1.

The newest additions to Baskin-Robbins lineup are Non-Dairy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Non-Dairy Chocolate Extreme. Both flavors are almond butter and coconut oil based – providing a creamy vegan option.

Expect to taste chunks of cookie dough pieces, chocolate chips and a chocolate fudge ribbon in the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough version while the Chocolate Extreme version will have chocolate chips as well as a chocolate ribbon for your sweet tooth.

With non-dairy options Baskin Robbins is hoping to join the high consumer demand for plant-based and vegetarian food sales. And they’re not the only chain restaurant participating in the vegan territory. Other big names include: Burger King, Del Taco and Chipotle.

To expand our dessert portfolio into the vegan space and offer guests increased options, these flavors had been in development since 2017 to get the product right and set a new standard in the non-dairy category by prioritizing taste and texture.
