AZ Teens Banned from Using Cellphones While Driving

The roads are about to get a little safer as new driving laws take effect.

While everyone should stay off their phones while driving, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey made it official. He signed a bill making it illegal for teens to use cellphones while driving. The law incorporates teens that have their permit and are in the first six months of having their Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL).  The law is set to take effect starting July 1, 2018. Teen drivers have the highest crash rate and AAA believes this will help lower that. AAA Arizona CEO Tim Condon said that this law marks a tremendous milestone for traffic safety in Arizona.
