Los Angeles – While not everyone who watched “Avengers: Infinity War” really believes that characters who died at the fingers of Thanos are actually dead, there are a few people still keeping that fantasy alive.
Yesterday’s “Avengers: Endgame” press conference in Los Angeles carried on that fantasy by leaving empty chairs on stage for the “fallen” characters. Those characters include Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Groot, Drax, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange, the Wasp, Mantis, Nick Fury and so on.
Jon Favreau opened up the event with a witty comment in regards to the empty chairs.
“Clearly things look a little different in the post-‘Infinity War’ Marvel Cinematic Universe,” he said. “Post-Snap, there are a few empty seats, so I’d like to welcome back the people that you see here on stage.”
Other stars who joined Favreau were Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Chris Hemsworth, Danai Gurira, the Russo Brothers, Scarlett Johanson, Paul Rudd, Karen Gillan, Jeremy Renner, Robert Downey Jr., Kevin Fiege and Brie Larson.
If you were looking to get some spoilers out of these stars though, you are out of luck. The crew did a good job of keeping their lips sealed.
Their silence is surprising considering the total runtime of the movie is three hours and two minutes, the longest of any Marvel movie. It is safe to assume that there is much to be discussed and talked about.
