Arizona Science Center Hosts 'Science With a Twist'

PHOENIX - The chance to party like an Egyptian is finally here thanks to the Arizona Science Center. The museum is a hosting a booze-filled event February 15 in honor of the newest Mummies of the World exhibit.

 

Museum and mummy lovers 21 and older can enjoy the event from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Arizona Science Center. While in attendance, you can fuel up on a Mummy Mule while learning Hieroglyphs.

 

Other activities that will be going on include pyramid puzzles, organ dissections and the chance to learn about mummification with flowers, apples and yes, hot dogs.

 

The event will include other exhibits that are available for purchase. Mummies of the World: The Exhibition costs an additional $11.95 and features 40 human and animal mummies.

 

But the fun doesn’t stop there! A Queen Laser Show sneak peek will be happening for one hour in the Planetarium. You can enjoy a new state-of-the-art laser system with special effects, all while listening to Queen's hits. 

 

The Dorrance Planetarium in Phoenix is the second planetarium in the world to have the laser feature, with the largest variety of laser special effects.

 

The event costs $12 for non-members and is free to members. Members will receive two complimentary drink tickets upon arrival.
