PHOENIX – This year’s annual Arrowverse crossover will have two familiar Supermen both suiting up to take on the role of Clark Kent.

According to Deadline, the actors will be playing the hero in different time frames. It is not entirely clear yet how this will play out for the plot but we are excited to see both back in capes.

Tyler Hoechlin currently plays Superman when he makes appearances on The CW’s Supergirl. Routh, on the other hand, currently plays The Atom on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. He played the Man of Steel in 2006 Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer.

The Arrowverse crossover is titled “Crisis on Infinite Earths” and will combine Supergirl, Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, and The Flash for five episodes. The first three will air in December with the final two not premiering until the following January.

Batwoman is the newest member of the CW universe. The series starring Ruby Rose as the heroine will premiere this October.
