If you watched the season finale of Supernatural, the main question on your mind is “when will Dean return?”
At the end of the last season, we saw archangel Michael possess Dean’s body.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the cast gave us some insight on what to expect.
“Michael does stick around longer than people might think, but Dean’s not going to be gone long,” Jenson Ackles said about his character Dean Winchester.
Phew! That’s a relief.
So what will the absence of Dean mean for Sam and Castiel?
Both have never been as close with each other as they are with Dean. However, the loss of a brother is about to change that.
Misha Collins, aka Castiel, commented on the new dynamic.
“Sam was initially more wary of Cas. They have grown closer over the years and we see that in the beginning of this season. They’re showing care and concern for one another to an extent that we haven’t quite seen before.”
In order to get Dean back, we can probably expect Cas and Sam to get into some trouble. After all, they could make some risky deals.
“Cas is pulling out all the stops,” Collins says. “He’s willing to make any kind of deal with any kind of devil in order to get Dean back. He’s attempting to form unsavory alliances and leaving no stone unturned. The entire hunter clan is wildly searching for any possible solution to the problem.”
We are very grateful so much is being done to bring our beloved Dean back home, but who knows what will happen after he returns.
To find out, tune in to the new season of Supernatural on Thursday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. on The CW.
