Sony has ended its ‘Spider-Man’ partnership with Marvel Studios

PHOENIX – It seems like everywhere we go, Disney is taking over something else, becoming bigger than ever. But today they lost a huge partnership with Sony over Spider-Man with Marvel Studios. Basically, Spider-Man is ousted out of the MCU.

Why you ask? Disney and Sony could not come to an agreement over financing the Spider-Man movies.

“This comes at a moment when the last two films Kevin Feige produced broke all-time records — Disney’s Avengers: Endgame became the highest grossing film of all time, and Spider-Man: Far From Home this week surpassed the James Bond film Skyfall to become the all time highest grossing film for Sony Pictures,” as reported in Deadline.
