PHOENIX – After last Sunday’s series finale of HBO show Game of Thrones, it is clear some fans were not thrilled with how the writers decided to end it.

Amongst all the backlash, Jason Alexander, who played George Costanza on Seinfeld, tweeted comforting words to the actors of GoT.

Alexander related to the situation because of the similar criticism he received after the finale of Seinfeld, which ran for nine seasons on NBC.

The actor also tweeted to clear up his feelings about his own show’s finale, stating he loved it and was happy to be a part of it.

GoT fans were extremely underwhelmed by the show and began a petition to redo the entire eighth season.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on.

This series deserves a final season that makes sense.

Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!

The petition is on Change.org and currently has just under 1.5 million signatures.
