A FIJI Water brand model took photo bombing to the next level at the 2019 Golden Globes.
Appearing in the background of almost every celebrity’s photo is the now meme-famous “FIJI Water Girl.”
She was one of four FIJI water brand models assigned to pass out waters to those attending the Golden Globes, but FIJI Water Girl made a real impact with her iconic smize.
Photos quickly starting popping up on social media, starting the trending hashtag #fijiwatergirl.
Some stars the FIJI model appeared to have photobombed include Jamie Lee Curtis, Jim Carey, and even Nicole Kidman.
The FIJI water brand was thrilled by success the brand ambassador seemed to have made at the awards show. The company ended the night by tweeting, “We’re so glad everyone is talking about our water! *Sense ominous presence* She’s right behind us, isn’t she?”
If you’ve been wondering this whole time who the real girl is behind the photo, look no further. Her name is Kelleth Cuthbert and she’s originally from Canada.
Shocked by the instant popularity, Cuthbert commented on her Facebook late Sunday saying,
“The strangest day of my life.”
Cuthbert has since created a Twitter account centered around her newfound viral persona. In her bio she writes, “Hi! I’m Golden Globes’ Breakout Watergirl and also the first worldwide meme of 2019. Stay hydrated, drink FIJI!”
Acknowledging her successful evening, Cuthbert posted a final red carpet photo in her famous blue gown and captioned the picture by telling everyone to stay everyone hydrated.
Fans are already asking the viral sensation if she will be offering classes on photobombing. Jokingly Cuthbert responded by tweeting, “Classes will start after spring break. More info soon.”
