PHOENIX- Hey Upper East-Siders. Did you hear? Gossip Girl is back with a reboot.
HBO Max will be the home of the new reboot for Gossip Girl. HBO Max, a new streaming service from WarnerMedia, is arriving in the spring of 2020 with all of your favorite shows.
The new plot will take place eight years after the original show ended when the Gossip Girl site went out. The show will also star a new set of Manhattan rich kids. It is said to address how much social media has changed over the years, according to E! News.
The project continues with the original series writer and executive producer, Joshua Safran, as well as other executive producers like Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage, Gina Girolamo, Leslie Morgenstein and Lis Rowinski.
Chase Crawford, or the hottie, Nate Archibald, from the original show, talked to Digital Spy about what he thinks of the reboot.
“I don’t know what it would look like with us being in our 30s now, but I always say, because it was such a big part of my life, I’m open to anything,” Crawford told Digital Spy. “It would have to be really right, and really specific, and with TV and the golden age of the TV streaming service, maybe an eight-episode season.”
The new HBO service will stream other prominent shows like Friends, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Pretty Little Liars, Batwoman and more.
