Check out some of the biggest highlights from Comic Con this past weekend

SAN DIEGO – A lot went down in the world of comics and if you were not able to keep up with all of the announcements, here is a little round-up of some highlights from the San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

Marvel Phase 4: The MCU dropped a lot on us in a very short period of time! The franchise unveiled a huge part of their outline of what we can expect from Phase 4 from Angelina Jolie joining the team and being cast in The Eternals, Natalie Portman returning to the Thor series and wielding the hammer as a female God of Thunder, Valkyrie as King of Asgard must find her Queen, and so much more.

Here is a timeline of the announced projects and their predicted release dates.

  • Loki – Spring 2021 (Disney+)
  • What If…? – Summer 2021 (Disney+)
  • Hawkeye – Fall 2021 (Disney+)
  • Thor: Love and Thunder – November 5, 2021

Harley Quinn animated series: The new series will be coming to the DC Universe’s digital series soon. Warner Bros. TV released the new trailer that comes with a warning for mature content and stars Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory) as the voice of Quinn.

Mark Hamill: Comic-Con surprised Mark Hamill with the Icon of the Year award on day one of the convention. The Star Wars icon is currently promoting his newest project, Netflix’s Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Star Trek: New trailers were released to promote the Star Trek franchise’s new series and shorts.

“Star Trek” fans got their first look Saturday at the forthcoming “Star Trek: Picard,” which sees Sir Patrick Stewart reprising his famous role as the revered Starfleet officer and former Enterprise captain.
Star Trek: Short Treks returns with six new shorts starting this fall, only on CBS All Access.

Top Gun: Maverick: Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance to announce his upcoming film and sequel, Top Gun: Maverick. The film follows Maverick 34 years after the original while he trains a new generation of fighter pilots.

IT Chapter Two: The final trailer following the return of the horrifying clown dropped and frightened everyone present. The movie is set to release on Sept. 6.
