The CW’s highly-rated drama series, Riverdale, is welcoming a charming new character for its fourth season, and he might be familiar to ‘Supergirl’ fans.

Actor, Sam Witwer, will be playing Mr. Chipping, a schoolteacher at main character Jughead Jones’s new prestigious prep school.

It is still unclear as to whether Witwer’s character will be yet another villain role like his past role on Supergirl as Ben Lockwood a.k.a. Agent Liberty.

Lockwood was previously a history professor at National City University, but has now retired that persona and will soon portray Jughead’s new prestigious lecturer.

Jughead, Mr. Chipping’s new student, is played by actor Cole Sprouse who discussed further details of Riverdale‘s upcoming season Wednesday.

Sprouse described the new school as “richy-rich” and similar to the type of school ‘Gossip Girl’ takes place during the discussion at San Diego Comic-Con International convention.

The new school will be a rival school to Riverdale High, and a challenging obstacle for Sprouse’s character Jughead as he will only be able to see his friend and girlfriend on the weekends.

Riverdale‘s fourth season will pay tribute to late Luke Perry who played Fred Andrews, father to Archie on the first three seasons.
