PHOENIX – In an interview with Lion King co-star, John Oliver on The Late Show Monday, rumors of a photo shopped Beyoncé have been confirmed. Finally, we can sleep again.

Disney’s 2019 animation, The Lion King, features many familiar actors like Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Florence Kasumba (Shenzi) and James Earl Jones (Mufasa). The live-action CGI movie hybrid hit theaters July 19.

Late Show host Stephen Colbert asked Oliver of the singer’s whereabouts as he held the cast photo to the camera.

The photo presents Donald Glover, Alfre Woodard and John Oliver surrounding Beyoncé , but something looks slightly off. Rumors began to spread across the internet as soon as the photo was released due to the unusual amount of space between two co-stars Beyoncé and Oliver.

“Yeah, she wasn’t there. I looked down and there was a piece of tape with Beyonce’s name on it,” Oliver explained.

Beyoncé plays Nala, the female love interest of King Mufasa’s son Simba. Adult Simba is voiced by Donald Glover in Disney’s widely adored tale of a young lion’s adventures and challenges as runaway prince in Africa.

Fans take to social media to showcase their own photo shop versions of the cast photo.

One fan voiced their concern for the missing main character James Earl Jones who plays Mufasa.
