PHOENIX – With the beautiful scenery Sedona has to offer, a new hotel hopes to focus on exactly that. A Sedona family-owned and operated company aims to open a landscape hotel in 2020.
The landscape hotel, Ambiente, is designed to live within the beauty of Sedona without hurting the land. According to a statement on their website, Ambiente is composed of 40 cube-shaped atriums that are elevated off of the ground by steel piers thus eliminating the need to grate the ground.
The atriums look to be rather minimal in design but are reported to have floor to ceiling bronze-tinted glass which, at dusk, will create mesmerizing mirror silhouettes around the unit. It also features a rooftop offering the best views of the terrain.
This is the first landscape hotel, at least in North America, as there are other landscape hotels around the world such as Bergaliv Landscape Hotel in Sweden and Sacromonte Landscape Hotel in Uruguay.
