PHOENIX – Kohl’s is the latest retailer to release a line of clothing made for kids with special needs in mind.

The line will include three of their brands – Jumping Beans, SO, and Urban Pipeline.

The clothes are made with wheelchair-and sensory-friendly fabric and are thoughtfully designed for the unique needs of customers – such as being diaper supportive or providing abdominal access. The apparel is available for boys and girls starting at three months old up to juniors and young men.

“We aligned on what needed to be considered when fitting, such as how a pant fits when sitting down, could the pockets still be used, is the shirt long enough to cover in the back, and so forth. Everyone involved was extremely thoughtful as to how the product would be used,” Judy Koepsel, technical design manager for kids, said in a statement.

On top of being functional, the new line is also stylish. Kids can choose from t-shirts, dresses, jeans, graphic shirts, hoodies, and so much more.

The clothes are available now at Kohls.com.

Target also announced they will be releasing Halloween costumes for kids in wheelchairs.
