PHOENIX – After a rush of demands for the show to be renewed and a trending hashtag on Twitter, One Day at a Time will return for a 13-episode fourth season on cable network Pop TV.
The show first started its run in 2017 as a Netflix original based off the 1975 series with the same name by Norman Lear. The current comedy-drama follows an Army veteran named Penelope and her sometime dysfunctional family.
When Netflix decided to cancel the show after three seasons in March, people took to Twitter to get the word out and try persuading a network to pick it up.
Now three months later, the show is saved! Those who are involved with the show shared their appreciation and excitement on social media.
One Day at a Time stars Rita Moreno (Lydia), Justina Machado (Penelope), Isabella Gomez (Elena), Todd Grinnell (Schneider), Stephen Tobolowsky (Dr. Berkowitz), and more. You can stream the first three seasons now on Netflix.
Pop TV is a television channel owned by the CBS corporation. They have shows such as Beverly Hills 90210 and Big Brother After Dark.
