Former Arizona State University Head Coach Frank Kush passed away Thursday at the age of 88. Kush had been a part of the Sun Devils in some way since 1955, starting as an assistant under head coach Dan Devine. Kush is the most winningest coach in Arizona State football history. Here are six facts you probably didn't know about Frank Kush. 

CFL and NFL Head Coach
Kush coached the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Canadian Football League in 1981, then served as head coach for the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts from 1982-84. 

One-Loss College Player
Kush played football for Michigan State as a two-way player and a 26-1 win-loss record, even winning a national championship in his final year. 

Polish Hall of Fame
Being from Polish descent, Kush was inducted into the National Polish Sports Hall of Fame, and in 1995 was inducted into the College Sports Hall of Fame. 

Winning Era
Kush led the Sun Devils to five-straight WAC Championships and won 50 of 56 games from 1969-73. 

One Time a Loser
The Sun Devils only had one losing season under Frank Kush, going 4-7 in 1976. 

Immortalized on the Field
The Sun Devils football team will always play with Kush close with home games played on Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium.
