In the video game era, it is challenging to get kids interested in board games, especially ones with an academic purpose. NBA Math Hoops is a relatively new board game, but it's already making a big impact by helping kids with math skills. The game was developed by Learn Fresh Education Co. with NBA Cares and has partnered with several organizations across the nation, including the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Phoenix. Bryan Villela, who is involved at the Ed Robson Family Branch Boys and Girls Club, has beat out dozens of other kids in NBA Math Hoops tournaments for a trip to San Francisco for the NBA Math Hoops National Championship. Bryan is one of seventeen finalists and during the tournament, he will meet players from the Golden State Warriors.
