Let's take a trip back in time... It was 10 years ago...the Mesa Convention Center was the home to Phoenix Cactus Con and only 2,600 guests were in attendance. By 2010 the convention
was officially dubbed Phoenix Comicon and moved to the Phoenix Convention Center. That year the attendance skyrocketed to around 14,000 attendees. Preliminary attendance for the 2016 CON has skyrocketed to approximately 100,000 guests, selling out 7 of 9 downtown Phoenix hotels. This annual event brings pop culture enthusiasts from around the world to our city and creates massive impacts. Total attendees to the convention could fill the seats in Chase Field ballpark, TWICE. With attendance on the rise, Phoenix Comicon is projected to be one of the top three comic conventions in the West Coast in a matter of a few years.
