Reference Librarian - Grand Canyon University
Provides virtual and in-person reference service to groups and individuals. Promotes library services and assists in general circulation services. Participates in library outreach programs and conducts library tours. Provides library instruction and actively participates in the development and design of classes on use of the library and its resources. Collaborates with other library staff in planning expected learning outcomes and promoting resources. Develops electronic instructional materials for a variety of subjects, classes and specific assignments. Engages in collection development and management in assigned subject areas. Position may require evening and weekend hours. Collects and researches data Uses intuition and experience to complement data. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

Academic Advisor - Arizona State University

  • Provides 1:1 as well as group academic advising, recruitment/retention, and academic success support functions to students to ensure ongoing successful progress to completion of degree program
  • Utilizing eAdvisor, assists students explore a variety of academic options, register for courses and make timely progress towards completion of degree.
  • Works closely with students to identify all academic options including, but not limited to: degrees, extracurricular activities, study abroad program(s), research, and internships; supports and provides counsel to student in selection of options best suited to student's goals, interests and skills.
  • Assists with academic program development and implementation
  • Monitors student academic progress through a variety of reporting tools including eAdvisor; works closely and collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to ensure academic success.
  • Acts as college/department liaison to current and prospective students, faculty , staff, and external groups on issues related to academic success;
  • Working under limited or minimal supervision, handles problems, provides guidance and advice to students.
  • Responds to student questions and concerns; works with students to resolve all issues to ensure ongoing satisfaction with program and successful progress to completion
  • As primary liaison, connects students with academic and personal resources including, but not limited to: tutoring, counseling and career services; provides follow up to ensure satisfaction with and effectiveness of services
  • Works collaboratively and collegially with academic units and services throughout the university to facilitate comprehensive student support
  • Utilizes a variety of university data and programmatic direction to promote student academic success.

Admissions Assistant - Pima Medical Institute

  • Receive inquiries from potential students and arrange appointments. Reschedule appointments as necessary.
  • Maintain the admissions appointments to ensure a tracking system.
  • Distribute and mail school and program information to callers.
  • Maintain computer records of all telephone calls and inquiries received. Add leads into Student Information System.
  • Monitor class schedules to ensure accuracy of future class start availability.
  • Maintain the lead bank system for record keeping and reports.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for all appointments, leads, interviews and enrollments.
  • Distribute bulk mailings for all prospective applicants.
  • Assist in the grading of entrance scholastic/typing tests given to applicants.
  • Create a daily admissions schedule and distribute to staff.
  • Contact no shows to encourage them to make an appointment.
  • Maintain the tracking system for new enrollments coming into school.
  • Maintain supply inventory and distribution for marketing materials.

MIT (Manager in Training) - Hollister Co. (A&F)
The Manager in Training (MIT) program is a ten week program that immerses a manager in all aspects of running a multi-million dollar business for Abercrombie & Fitch. Training takes place in our store locations. Each week the program focuses on a different aspect of running the business. The program trains the MIT on the necessary principles of management including creating the best in-store experience, recruiting, diversity, human resources, store operations, and visual merchandising. The program is structured and provides the MIT with daily and weekly feedback from the Store Manager and District Manager. The MIT completes daily readings and exercises, experiences and learns through on-the-job training, and completes weekly assessments. The MIT must successfully complete the training program to be moved into an Assistant Manager role.
